The TESOL Begins

I've been in Lebanon since Saturday and so far so good. I enjoy it here even though the culture is very different from the south. People are less friendly for one thing. I noticed that right away. But the people here at the YWAM base are definitely the exception to that statement. My class has eleven students and two teachers and the base as a whole has about 16 people living here. It's quiet and very different from San Jose. And I must say the food here is amazing and....well...better than the way I ate during my DTS. We even get salads every day thanks to the amazing cook!!

The TESOL classes are full of great information though I feel like I'm having to learn English myself all over again. I never realized how much I had forgotten since high school until we started discussing parts of speech and I didn't seem to know anything. But the teachers are wonderful and I am absorbing as much as I can as quickly as my brain will allow me. Please pray for God to give me the confidence in myself to actually be an ESL teacher because I have some doubts. I do know, however, that if God called me then He will give me what I need to learn what I need to learn.

Keep an eye out for my newsletter that will be sent through email in the next week. If you would like to receive it and are not already on my mailing list please let me know.

Thanks for the prayers and support. God bless!!
